“It’s a new year, a new day, a new dawn & I’m feeling good” James Brown
For many years I have been working with the armpit - understanding the impact fascia release has on many areas of the body and knowing that working with the armpit as being the source of pain.
Today, this came to me in an email with such synchronicity. I want to share this with you as an educational piece of information.
I have a great love of freeing up fascia for more movement and flexibility creating more space, in turn it becomes a release of pain and discomfort.
Working with the armpit wants to happen very slowly as initially it’s not only new to the client, but it has a sense of vulnerability that occurs can release a bundle of emotions.
Remembering that the armpit is a sensitive area, going in slowly and deliberately with constant connection and communication is a must and it doesn’t have to happen immediately. The body wants to know it is safe.
Working with the armpit is key to release in the neck and shoulders, upper back and often many clients report they feel it throughout the ribcage and even in their knees. How amazing is that!
Stress collects in all sorts of ways throughout our human technology, and too much of it controls how we think and feel about ourselves. We all want to feel freedom of movement, emotionally, physically and within our spirit. Our own frequency and vibration demand us to be awake and honor ourselves as if we were a newborn.
I ask you to give it some thought, scan your own body and feel what you feel. Is it comfortable or are there places where you feel restricted. Maybe it doesn’t have to feel that way. With love and a cuppa Bobbie xo
Why This Matters
The armpit isn’t just a hollow. It’s a hub of muscle, fascia, nerves, and blood flow. It ties into your shoulder girdle, pelvis, and neck.
When it’s restricted, the whole body pays the price. When it’s free, everything changes.
